Ten inches is 25.4 cm. A 30 cm ruler is approximately 11.811023622 inches. For an inch fraction, enter its decimal equivalent: 1/2 inch as 0.5, or 5½ inches as 5.5. This tool does not parse fraction text.
Precision and input
Enter plain numbers with a decimal point. Zero is valid. Signed values can represent mathematical differences; negative output does not imply a physically negative size or mass. Very small and large results use scientific notation so a nonzero value is not displayed as zero.
The calculation keeps floating-point precision internally and rounds only for display. It cannot add measurement accuracy to an approximate ruler or scale reading. For a physical measurement, report only the precision justified by your instrument.
