How it works
Each activity is multiplied by its matching emission factor. Electricity and liquid-fuel emissions are added to your entered other emissions, then monthly mode multiplies the entire total by 12. Divide kilograms by 1,000 for metric tonnes; divide household totals by people for a per-person allocation.
Worked example
With hypothetical factors, 3,000 kWh × 0.4 plus 500 L × 2.3 gives 2,350 kg, or 2.35 tonnes CO₂e/year. These factors are examples, not a claim about your local grid or fuel lifecycle.
Using the result
Choose factors from your utility or relevant official inventory and match geography, year and accounting boundary. A combustion-only fuel factor is not a full lifecycle factor. This partial footprint omits food, purchases, flights and other activities unless included in your other-emissions input; it is not certified carbon accounting.
